Defense Spending by Country 2022

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure a nation-state’s safety. People, economics, and institutions are all part of it. A considerable expenditure is needed to build and sustain national security in many nations across the globe.

Among the world’s countries, only 36 don’t have an army.

We must spend money on defense and the military to keep our country safe. Spending on the Department of Defense, war, nuclear weapons, and other Pentagon-related operations is included in the United States category.

In 2019, the global military budget amounted to around $1.917 trillion. The top 10 nations in terms of military expenditures are as follows:

Social Security and Medicare are the second and third most costly government programs, respectively, in the United States. The United States has spent more on defense than any other G-7 country in the last several decades. Military personnel in the United States total 1.358 million.

After the United States, China will spend $237 billion on the military in 2020. Less than half of the United States spent on the same project. China has steadily raised its military budget for the previous two decades, and in 2018 it was ten times larger than in 1994.
