Bolivia

Bolivia, a landlocked country in the Andes, is a popular tourist destination. This South American nation is well-liked and has a diverse landscape.

Peru and Ecuador share a southern border with the nation. Venezuela and Brazil are located to the east of Columbia on the South American continent. The Pacific Ocean borders Columbia’s west coast. Although Spanish is the country’s official language, more than 70 other languages are widely spoken.

Ecuador is one of the smallest nations in the Andes. West of the equator, this country sits directly at the equator. Ecuador’s terrain is diverse, ranging from the altitudes of the Andes Mountains to the tropical rainforest and the Amazonian jungle.

Peru

Like many other South American nations, Peru has a vastly differing landscape. Peru is home to sections of the Amazon rainforest and some of the Andes’ tallest peaks. Machu Picchu and other old Incan settlements can be found in this region.

Peru is also home to the Sacred Valley, Cusco, a historic city, and the Inca Trail. Lima, Peru’s capital city, is located on the Pacific coast. The country’s heart’s colonial architecture and pre-Columbian art are particularly well-preserved.

Venezuela

Venezuela is nestled in the middle of the Andes mountain range, at South America’s northernmost corner. With its abundance of animals and lush environment, the Sierra Nevada National Park is a must-visit for anybody interested in exploring the Sierras.

From Caribbean beaches to lush jungles, this nation offers something for everyone. At least politically, there are islands and archipelagos in the area that belong to this nation. Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, is located in the country’s north.
