The United States (American Samoa, Hawaii, etc. ), France (New Caledonia, French Polynesia), and the United Kingdom (Pitcairn, British Indian Ocean Territory) are all included in some APAC lists, while others only include sovereign nations and exclude dependent territories like Niue (New Zealand), Guam (United States), and Norfolk Island (United Kingdom) (Australia).

The United States and Canada are absent from several lists; nevertheless, Asia, Australasia, Oceania, and the Pacific island states are included.

What are APAC’s largest and smallest nations?

China is the most populous nation in the Asia-Pacific region (excluding Canada, Russia, or the United States), followed by Australia, India, Indonesia, & Mongolia in terms of area.

Just Nauru, with an area of only 21 square kilometers (8 square miles), is larger than the rest of the APAC countries combined (excluding dependent territories like Tokelau, which is part of New Zealand).

Some of the world’s most populated nations may be found in the APAC area. More than one-fourth of the world’s population lives in China, with more than 1.44 billion people. India is in second place with 1.39 billion people.

With a population of 276.3 million, Indonesia is the region’s third-largest nation and the fourth-largest in the globe. Both Tuvalu and Nauru are the world’s smallest countries in terms of population (excluding dependent territories), with anticipated populations ranging from 10,000 to 12,000 persons.
