Dubbo Population 2022 Statistics 

Dubbo is located in New South Wales city, about 400km to the northwest of Sydney.

With over 34,000, the city ranks as the 14th in the list of cities with the highest population density in NSW. It also ranks 37th as the most significant urban center in Australia.

Based on our findings, the Dubbo population will be 36,675 by 30th June 2022. We calculate the end of June each year because the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) follows the Australian budget when we push the information.

The calculation is based upon the average growth rate of 1.17 percent over the past ten years starting from 2011. We believe that using the most recent year’s figures (see our table in the next section) will help make the estimate more precise.

The main reason for this growth in the population is that both the rate of birth and employment are incredibly stable in Dubbo. The population growth seems to be in line with national population growth.

Demographics of Dubbo

According to the census, 47.7 percent of people living in Dubbo are males, and 52.3 percent are female. The average age in Dubbo is 35.

The top birth countries include: Australia 84.1%, India 1.0 0.1%, England 1.0%, New Zealand 0.8%, Nepal 0.6 percent and Philippines 0.5 0.6% and Philippines 0.5.

The most spoken languages in the home are: English 87 percent, Nepali 0.6%, Mandarin 0.5 percent, Malayalam 0.3%, Tagalog 0.3 0.3% and Sinhalese 0.3 0.3%.

The major religions of Dubbo include Catholic 30.2 percent, Anglican 22.7%, No Religion, as described 18.6 percent, not stated 9.1 percent as well as Uniting Church 5.1%. The report found that in Dubbo, Christianity was the most popular religion reported (75.5 percent)

According to the census, the most prevalent occupations for people in Dubbo are professionals 18.2 percent, Technicians and Trades Workers 14.2 percent, Community and Personal Service Workers 13.2 percent, Clerical and Administrative Workers 13.2, and Sales and Marketing 11.7 percent.

The primary industries that residents of Dubbo work in are 4.9 percent employed in Hospitals (except the Psychiatric Hospitals).

Other significant areas of employment were Primary Education 2.7%, Other Social Assistance Services 2.7 percentage, Takeaway Food Services 2.5 percent, and Meat Processing 2.4%.

For working hours, 9.8% worked 1 to 15 hours, 8.2% worked 16 to 24 hours, and 43.1 percent spent 40 or more hours at work.
