The phrase Pacific Rim refers to the territory along the ocean’s outer rim. Volcanoes and earthquakes abound in the Pacific Ring of Fire, which runs parallel to the Pacific Rim.
The Pacific Basin encompasses the Pacific Rim and all of the Pacific Ocean’s islands and the countries that make up the Pacific Rim.
The Pacific Rim includes a large number of countries and territories. Fiji, the Marshall Islands (which include Nauru and the other Micronesian islands of Palau), the Solomon Islands (which include Tonga and Tuvalu), and Tonga (which includes Samoa and the Pacific island of New Guinea) are also part of Oceania.
Canada, Mexico, and the United States are Pacific Rim countries in North America. The countries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama are all located on the Pacific Coast of Central America.
Chila, Colombia, and Peru are examples of countries in this area of South America.
As far as Asia is concerned, the Pacific Rim includes the following nations:
China, Indonesia (including Japan), Japan (including Korea (North)), the Philippines (Russia), Singapore (South Korea), and Taiwan (Taiwan) and Vietnam. American Samoa, Christmas Island, Cocos Islands, Cook Islands, Easter Island, French Polynesia, Guam, New Caledonia, Niue, Norfolk Islands, Pitcairn Islands, Tokelau, Wallis, and Futuna are all dependent territories of the Pacific Rim.
