There is no surprise that China and the United States have the biggest military. Only 36 countries worldwide do not have armed forces, making up most of the world’s countries.

A total of 1.367 million service personnel, including 1.037 million in the National Guard and reserves, make up the US military, which ranks third in size. China spent $252 billion, followed by India, which spent $72.9 billion.
