Long-Term Evolution (LTE) is a mobile broadband wireless communication protocol. 4G LTE is another name for LTE. The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) owns the trademark for LTE (ETSI).
The purpose of LTE development was to boost wireless data network capacity and speed by using modern data signal processing methods.
Additionally, they intended to simplify and shorten the time between stimulation & response compared to 3G. Thus they redesigned and simplified the network architecture.

History
In 2004, the Japanese telecommunications company NTT Docomo proposed LTE as a global standard. To demonstrate the first LTE network emulation to investors and the media, Siemens Networks (now Nokia Networks) put on a live demonstration in 2006.
Ericcson and NTT Docomo exhibited LTE speeds of 144 megabits per second and 200 megabits per second, respectively, at power below 100 megawatts the next year.
Vendors started releasing LTE testing equipment in 2008. Ericcson demonstrated a portable device’s first end-to-end LTE call at the 2008 Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
As an example of how LTE may enhance the distribution of personal media, Motorola showed how HD video streaming, online gaming, and more could be enhanced via the network.
Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Czech Republic, Brazil, and Argentina were picked by Telefónica in August 2009 as the first six nations to field-test LTE in the following months. Countries and operators progressively adopted LTE over the coming years.

The World’s LTE Network
LTE’s speed can’t be precisely measured since the international standard for the technology is vague. There are significant differences in LTE download speeds, ranging from 20 Mbps of 3G to 100 Mbps of 4G.
Because the LTE frequencies and bands in various nations vary, only multi-band phones can take advantage of LTE across all countries that accept it.
To understand LTE bands, it is important to understand how they work. The 10 nations with the largest percentage of people using LTE are:
