Travel Ban Countries 2022

President Donald Trump signed Executive Order 13780, commonly known as the Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States order, on March 6, 2017.

This new directive has superseded an earlier executive order published in January 2017. The decree has been changed twice by the presidential proclamation since it was signed.

This is due to judicial judgments prohibiting the order’s requirements from being executed. However, in June 2018, the Supreme Court upheld the most current version.

It is also known as the travel ban because of the casual nature of the term. Citizens of other countries are prohibited from entering the United States under the order.

Controversial: The travel restriction has been a contentious subject. The executive order was issued to ensure the country’s security and safety against terrorism. However, others contend that the order was just a part of an anti-Muslim plan and that the Constitution does not allow for such an order.

Now seven countries are prohibited from traveling to the United States: Iran, North Korea, Libya, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen. Efforts to remove Chad from the list of countries subject to travel restrictions were completed on April 10, 2018.

If you are an Iranian citizen, you are only allowed to enter the United States if you have an exchange visitor or student visa. To be sure, even countries with these credentials must go through an additional screening process.

For Libyans, the admission of countries on a business, tourist, or business/tourist visa has been halted. Officials have stopped allowing entry to anybody from North Korea and Syria.

Members of the immediate family of Venezuelan government officials who are in the United States on business, tourist, or business/tourist visas cannot enter the United States.

Yemeni nationals on business, tourist, or business/tourist visas are not permitted to enter the United States. As a result, the immigration of Somali people has been halted for the time being.
